Governance

National Integrity Framework

Curling WA takes integrity seriously and has adopted the National Integrity Framework of the Australian Curling Federation. This is a set of policies intended to promote integrity in Australian sports, including

  • Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
  • Member Protection Policy
  • Improper Use of Drugs and Medications Policy
  • Competition Manipulation and Sports Gambling Policy
  • Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy

Members of Curling WA are bound by these policies and will be required to acknowledge this during the registration process.

It is the responsibility of all members to be familiar with these policies. When it comes to sport integrity, it is critical that our athletes and support personnel are aware of their rights and responsibilities.  Sport Integrity Australia eLearning offers a number of online courses relating to sport integrity. There are different e-learning requirements and recommendations for athletes, coaches, support personnel, staff and volunteers. You can find more details on the ACF 2024 Education Plan here.

A breach of these policies could result in action being taken as outlined in the Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy.
